Welcome to Temple Beit Shalom
Temple Beit Shalom was formed in 2023 after two well-established Reform congregations—one in Illinois and one in Indiana—came together across borders to form a new Illiana congregation serving both states.
Located in Munster, Indiana just over the Illinois border, Temple Beit Shalom is easily accessible to residents of the south suburbs of Chicago as well as those located in Northwest Indiana. We are a warm and welcoming congregation where each person is encouraged to follow their own Jewish path. We welcome interfaith couples and families who want to explore Jewish life and thought. Today we have over 145 member households representing a broad spectrum of Reform Jews, including many interfaith families. Blessed with a dedicated professional staff and beautiful facilities, our story continues to evolve. We would love to have YOU be a part of our history.
